Roon sees Airplay Speakers but will NOT play [Solved, Subnet]

Hi there:

Issue: I’ve added all the Airplay zones and these zone will not play from Roon but will from iTunes. I have followed the FAQ. Have anyone else had this problem?

Hello @Kerry_O_Brien,

May I ask what AirPlay speakers you are using? What behavior is the Roon application showing when you’re trying to play? Does it present an error that playback could not be started? Or does it appear to be playing but there is no sound output from the device?

Hi John.
Thanks for reaching out.
I dod some further investigation.
The issue as I discovered was not the Roon core software but rather which subnet the machine was on my home network. I needed to connect it to correct subnet. Once that was resolved - a handshake over the same subset - the core now sees all my speakers and does play perfectly. Roon is ace.
