Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

Raspberry Pi 4B with 4GB of RAM and 8GB SDcard running Ropieee XL with 7" display connected via USB to a Benchmark DAC 3L

Description Of Issue

Core sees Ropieee device and Ropieee display shows selected track but track WILL NOT PLAY either from local library or Tidal. I have conformed extensions are enabled and all known settings based upon Roon and Ropiee guides. I also reinstalled core software and rebooted both core and Ropieee devices.

I forgot to add that I am running Version 1.7 (build 528) of Roon Server

What does the ropieee admin page say?

Hello @Doug_McKenney, please disconnect your DAC from the Pi’s and try running it directly to the Core. Let me know if you still see the issue when doing so. I’d like to simplify the signal path and see if we can find the failure point.

Also, when the track won’t play, what are you noticing? Are you hitting the play button and nothing happens?

SOLVED: I just contacted Benchmark support and they told me the DAC3 should be in USB 2.0 mode (it was not). Once I was shown how to toggle into 2.0 mode and did so the problem resolved itself. Music now playing. All is well. Apologies for troubling support but hope this helps others.

Hey @Doug_McKenney, still glad we could help! Let us know if you need anything in the future.
