Roon send to and receive from HQP so it can be used just like Muse

Hi all,

I love Roon and I love HQPlayer, but I am very frustrated that HQP only output the NAA protocol and so many nice endpoints cannot be used if HQP is engaged.

I would love it if Roon could also run an NAA to RAAT bridge so that we could use HQP just like Muse upsampling.

The flow would be

Roon core → HQ Player → NAA back to Roon core → RAAT to Roon endpoint

I think this would be amazing.

Failing that we have to persuade Jussi to enable RAAT protocol output from HQP.

Does anybody else find this frustrating? Has anybody come up with a different solution?

Also, HQP is a made by a completely different company than Roon. It is amazing enough that we are able to send things to HQPlayer at all, it wasn’t always that way.

I think your idea would have to start and end with Jussi.
