Description Of Issue

Roon Server cranks my Qnap CPU to 100% out of the blue. I just updated from the previous _v4.4.2.1270 and the problem follows. I have an i7 3.4ghz 4 core with 32gb ram. It doesn’t seem to be using much ram just pounding the CPU at full. Any ideas of what to try. Is there a way to post log file of what Roon server is doing to cause it to max out CPU?

Is this a new install or are you looking at the cpu consumption right after a reboot?
Is Audio analysis and library discovery all finished?

Hi @Peter_McCabe1,

Is there any importing going on? Do you see an “activity spinner” in the top-right hand corner?

What about any audio analysis? Do you see activity under Roon Settings -> Library -> On-Demand/Background Audio Analysis Speed?
