I am unable to connect to my Roon server.

Describe your network setup

Router and network switch

Connect an HDMI monitor or TV to the Nucleus to see if the messages displayed when booting it up indicate an issue.

No Message appears through the HDMI cord

If there are 2 HDMI ports on the nucleus did you try both? You should see the system start up message via HDMI.

I tried connecting both HDMIs (A and B), as well as a TV and Monitor. I’m still getting no signal. The Nucleus is on, and I can see the blinking light that confirms the ethernet is working.

Which Nucleus model do you have and how old is it?

Is the router seeing the Nucleus and assigning an IP address? That information would normally be shown in the messages displayed during initialization if the HDMI connection to monitor or TV was working.

More details on your Network setup, Router and switch, could be useful.

The requested information could be helpful to Roon Support when they get to this thicket in their queue. Possibly save some time later by having it available now.

I purchased the Nucleus+ in 2020. I have a Verizon router with a Netgear GS324PP switch. I’m working on the router connecting to the Nucleus+.

Hey @John_McPherson,

Thanks for writing in, and welcome to the community! We’re happy to have you here, but also apologize in that it’s an issue that prompted your recent post.

If you’re unable to access the webUI of your Nucleus, with a direct ethernet connection to your router, as well as not seeing anything via a monitor when connected through HDMI, you may be suffering from hardware-related issues.

Here’s more info on how to access the webUI:

If you’re unable to access the above - you’ll want to get an RMA ticket started with our RMA team, as they’re in charge of all hardware-related Nucleus issues. To do so, open the Typeform link below and select ‘Other’ followed by 'This issue is related to a physical component".
