Thanks for writing in! Sorry to hear you’re having issues getting Roon Server started on your windows. Have you tried manually starting Roon Server?
Check your Start Menu for the “Roon Server” shortcut and double click to open it. You also have the option to launch the application at startup, which may help you in the future:
If none of the above help, lets try refreshing your Roon Server database:
Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:
Create a Backup of your current database (or if you have a recently saved backup, this is fine. Do not perform the following without a recent backup)
No, you’ll need to select the backup under the option ‘restore from a backup’ when logging into Roon. Were you able to get that process started already?
OK, I’ve started the restoring backup process. However, my NAS album storage connection, files and album edits are gone and do not restore. Is there any way to get those back?
It seems like anytime there is a registry edit or cleanup Roon gets wacked. Is that typical experience?
Has the network share location changed at all since making the backup you’ve recently restored? You’ll likely be able to fix this by heading to Roon Settings>Storage> Edit the NAS path to reflect its current path, and it should auto-restore your files!
