I have closed your duplicate thread for the same issue, please only post once for any given issue, it only dilutes the replies and assistance.
Thank you for your co-operation.
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your issue with us.
To help us investigate and guide you to a solution, could you please provide a bit more detail?
What we need to know:
The Process: What exact action or process are you trying to perform when the failure occurs?
The Step: At what specific step does it fail, and what exactly happens when it does?
Screenshot: If possible, please attach a screenshot of the problem or any error messages you are seeing. This is often the quickest way for us to see exactly what you are experiencing.
Once we have those details, we will be able to dive right in and help you get this resolved.
You say that “Roon Server fails to open” - Roon Server does not have a user interface window - it runs in the background. Do you mean that Roon does not open?
From your description, you’re running Roon on an all-in-one Windows setup with Roon and RoonServer installed on the same machine.
If you can’t open the GUI (Roon), please double-check that the Microsoft Defender firewall has Roon.exe safelisted. I recommend safelisting the other Roon processes as well (RoonServer.exe, RoonGoer.exe, RoonAppliance.exe, RAATServer.exe). Here’s a guide.
Do you have any antivirus software or other third-party network security installed? You’ll need to safelist the same Roon background processes in that software, too.
Let us know if this helps. We’ll watch for your reply. Thank you!
