What is the operating system of your Roon Server host machine?
· Nucleus
Which model Nucleus do you have?
· Nucleus One
Describe the issue
As I am growing my collection over 100.000 tracks I get the message the roon server is not responding and the musicbstops playing and cant use Roon until It restarts
Describe your network setup
Nucleus One on 10gb lan. Music folders are on Unraid server through a wired 10gb lan connection
100,000 tracks is unfortunately right at the upper limit of the Nucleus One’s processing memory and processing capabilities.
In the short term, if you have another computer available that has higher RAM and CPU, you can temporarily migrate your server to keep Roon up and running. Another patch would be to request to upgrade the RAM on this Nucleus One by submitting this form.
However, RAM isn’t the only consideration, as more CPU will be required for indexing and DSP as the library continues to scale beyond 100k tracks.
The long-term solution if you’re really growing this library is to upgrade to a Nucleus Titan or another OS that has sufficient RAM and CPU.
We’ll watch for your response and proceed from there. Thank you!
