· For a few months my Roon would occasionally not work. Then, last fall it stopped working completely. Message on my phone screen says "Looking for your Roon Server." I have tried plugging/unplugging, downloading a new Roon app. Consulted with more tech-savvy friends, who consulted Roon websites and tried many approaches too. It simply doesn't work. I am paying for something I can't use. I am a 69-year-old woman who would like a human being to come to my home to check/fix it or I shall cancel Roon before the next billing cycle begins.
Tell us about your home network
· There is one Verizon router in the utility room, around the corner from the Roon box. It is Model Number G3100. Serial # G401119042913249. WAN MAC: 04.A2.22.B0.F1.D4. HW ver: 1102. There is another router nearly adjacent to the Roon box It is Model Number E3200. Serial # E301119062006563. LAN1 MAC: 04.A2.22.C8.7C.DE. HW ver: 1102 Is this the information you need?
Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the Roon Community — we’re glad you found us, even though the circumstances are frustrating.
After checking our side, I want to let you know that we do not currently see any active Roon Server associated with your account in our diagnostics.
To move forward, we first need to clearly understand where and how your Roon Server is hosted, since Roon itself is split into two parts:
Roon Server – the “brain” that runs on a specific device
Roon Remote – the app on your phone, tablet, or computer
Could you please let us know:
Which device is (or was) running your Roon Server?
Examples:
A Roon Nucleus / Nucleus One
A Windows computer
A Mac
A Linux server
A NAS (Synology, QNAP, etc.)
Is that device currently powered on and connected to your network?
Approximately where is that device located (e.g., next to your router, in another room, etc.)?
The router details you shared are helpful, but before we troubleshoot the network, we need to confirm the exact server device — otherwise there’s nothing for the Roon apps to discover.
Once we know where your Roon Server should be running, we’ll guide you step by step from there. No advanced technical knowledge is required, and we’ll keep things as simple and clear as possible.
We haven’t seen a response but we’re eager to ensure you’ve found the support you need here.
Our diagnostic servers don’t show an active RoonServer machine associated with your account, so we’ll still need some of the basic information @vadim has requested above in order to begin troubleshooting.
I assume this is a Roon Nucleus? Can you please share one of the following?
We’re going to allow this thread to auto-close as we haven’t seen any responses in several days from the OP.
If you still require assistance, you can reactivate the topic thread by submitting a new support request here. Our team will respond promptly. Thank you!
