· My ROON server experienced a new problem. It cannot connect to the ROON . I am using Mac mini with OS 10.15.8, I understand it is not compatible with your latest ROON version but since you advised me to install the older version of ROON it runs normal till now. Please see the attached screens . For your urgent advice please.
First, try reinstalling from the old installer again. You can find the installer here.
The installer was meant as a temporary patch earlier this year to help offer some buffer for users who needed to upgrade their hardware. The legacy build was not meant to be a permanent fix for users who are below Roon’s minimum requirements; it may become incompatible with Roon Remote over time.
Ultimately, you’ll need to update to the latest available version of both Roon Server and Roon Remote on supported hardware/software. You can do this by uninstalling and reinstalling the app from our downloads page.
Wanted to follow up on this and see where things stand. Were you able to reinstall Roon using the older Mac installer we shared, and then compare that with the current download from our downloads page? The legacy build was only meant as a temporary bridge, so if that gets you moving again, the next step is to move both Roon Server and Roon Remote over to the latest supported versions on compatible hardware or software.
