Describe the issue

I have been using Roon for 4 years without problems. However, as of about January 18 a number of things are screwed up.
Roon Core is on my MacPro laptop, hardwired to the internet, with no firewall. I control Roon with my Apple tablet, via Sonore Optical Rendu and Denafrips Pontus II. I have not changed any of this recently.
On the tablet, under "Settings", "About" says I have Roon version 2.0 and build 1496 on both the Roon server on the laptop and on the tablet. Backup manager says the Jan 19 backup shows 1496, the Jan 1 backu 1490, and Dec 16 1483.
I noticed the problems when my library from Qobuz shrank from 2000+ to 102 albums. I have fewer than 10 albums on the labptop harddrive. My playlists have mostly disappeared.
On the laptop, when I click the Roon app it cannot find the Roon server. However, the tablet can apparently find the server, since I can choose tracks and albums and play through it. Oddly, Roon functions through the tablet as long as the laptop is booted up, even if I don't click the Roon app on the laptop! Other internet functions on the laptop and tablet seem to be working fine.
I have downloaded and installed a new version of Roon, but the problems persist--the laptop can't find the server, but the tablet finds it and plays music, but most of the library and playlists are gone.
What do you think? I am willing to delete Roon from my laptop, and then reinstall it, as long as my backups are not affected. Would that be your advice?

There is more than one thing coming together:

This is a known ongoing issue affecting many people, it has nothing to do with your local server situation. See here:

As for the server connection issue, what happens if you click “Select a different Roon Server” here? It will warn you that you can’t access the music on the current server - that’s fine, say yes.

If you are lucky, it will then simply show all the servers it can find, which should be at least your usual one, and then you might be simply able to connect. I’d try this first, and further steps if it doesn’t help

Thanks, Suedkiez, yes that solved the server issue. I was scared away by the warning. I guess I wait on the library issue. Alan

It’s a little scary indeed. It just tries to state the more-or-less obvious though, that as long as one connects to server B, one can’t access server A, which might be useful info when actually switching between servers. But if one ends up in this place because of some connection hiccup like you, it’s lacking context and becomes confusing

Hi @Alan_Gummerson,

The team is investigating Qobuz library sync issues actively alongside Qobuz’s team. Please check the thread @Suedkiez helpfully shared above, where we will eventually share out ETA for a fix once it’s available.

Thank you for your patience. If your issue with server connectivity is resolved, we can allow this thread to auto-close for now, and shift the discussion to the Qobuz tracking thread as necessary. Please let me know if anything else has come up with your system outside those symptoms, and we’ll happily assist.
