Some warning to users would have been nice.

There was a notice on the forum at the start of the month plus a piece in the April newletter. Affected devices also had an in-app notification.

Update – April 20, 2026: We’re moving this release to April 27, 2026. Testing and EarlyAccess feedback surfaced issues with the Docker image on some Linux and NAS systems. Docker can run on a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and storage configurations, and each combination behaves a little differently - some issues are in the image itself, others only show up in specific host environments. Since Docker is how some of the affected users will keep running Roon after the new requirement…

How to I restore functionality?

There is no alternative installer for your NAS. You should use the Docker image. The TS-264 is fully compatible with Container Station. What NAS are you using?
