Hello @Peter_Stone,

Thank you for reaching out to Roon Support!

While NAS setups are not officially supported by Roon, so we have a limited support capabilities here. Based on the information you’ve provided, it appears the issue may be related to an incomplete initial setup — specifically, the Roon Server database folder has not been configured.

As @BlackJack correctly pointed out, during the initial configuration, a prompt should appear allowing you to specify the location for Roon Server’s database.

Please try creating a new folder for the database. This can be done via the QNAP Control Panel under Shared Folders, or by using FileStation if you’d like to create the folder within an existing shared folder.

Ensure that the new folder has the appropriate read/write permissions for the Roon Server application, and then try setting it as the default database location.

Let us know how it goes or if you need further assistance!
