Hello @Michael_Bechstein

Thank you for the screenshot. The message is unambiguous, it says your subscription has expired, so we understand why this is confusing when your account page shows your lifetime subscription correctly.

There are two possible reasons for this, and one of them is not an account problem at all. Your account page is loaded by your browser, but the licence itself is checked by your Roon Server. If the server cannot reach our servers to confirm the licence, it assumes there is none, and this is exactly the screen you get.

So before we involve our accounts team, please check the machine running Roon Server rather than your phone:

  1. On that Windows machine, please open a browser and confirm it has working internet access.
  2. Please open https://account.roon.app on that same machine and confirm it loads and shows your lifetime subscription.
  3. In Roon, please go to Settings, then General, and sign out, then sign back in with your Roon account.
  4. Please restart Roon Server afterwards and try to connect again.

Please also tell us whether that Windows machine sits behind any VPN, DNS filtering service such as Pi-hole or AdGuard, or security software beyond Windows Defender. Any of those can block the licence check while leaving ordinary web browsing intact.

If it still reports the subscription as expired after signing back in, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!

HI @Michael_Bechstein

We’ve not seen a response here our diagnostic servers don’t show any activity associated with your servers or remotes since you first posted here.

At your convenience, please follow the steps @vadim has suggested above to confirm whether or not your machine can access Roon’s cloud account servers.

Another, more heavy-handed step (only proceed if you have a Backup available) is to reset the database fully to reassociate it freshly with your account.

Double-check you have a Backup, then take these steps.

  • Exit out of RoonServer
  • Navigate to your RoonServer’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Delete the RoonServer folder
  • Reinstall the RoonServer App from our Downloads Page to generate a new RoonServer folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database
