Roon Server Software in NOT Running [Resolved]

Hello we are in the middle of instalation of Roon Lab with NUC 7i5.

It looked all good and we installed missing codec by placing “ffmpeg” file it into the rock/data/codecs folder .

ROCK shows that:

  1. Operating System is OK and stable

  2. Roon Database & Settings are OK

BUT

  1. Roon Server Software in NOT Running

and If I pres the “Start” we get this message

“Restart Error - Roon Server could not be successfully restarted. Please try rebooting, or contact support.”

Can you please help

Moving forward, we’d like to have a look at your logs to see what could be causing this issue to occur. May I kindly ask you to follow the instructions found here and upload us a set of logs for evaluation.

Thank you. I will access the logs and copy them to you when I get home tonight.

Hi Eric
I couldn’t find the logs in the data file.
I reinstalled the operating system from the web. And the problem vanished.
It’s up and running and more importantly playing music.
