Hello @bluhska
This is a known problem, and there is a fix ready for you. It affects Intel Macs on macOS 13 and it is being tracked here:
RoonServer 2.71 crashing on startup on Intel Mac Mini (ref#8FHUVX) [Hotfix Released]
The Start button appearing to do nothing is the symptom: Roon Server is launching and stopping again immediately, so nothing happens on screen.
The fix is a newer build, and you need to install it by hand because the built in update cannot run while the server will not start:
- Please download a fresh copy of Roon from
Download Roon - Mac, Windows, iOS & Android Apps | Free Download
. - Quit Roon completely.
- Open the downloaded disk image and drag Roon into your Applications folder, choosing Replace when asked.
- Eject the disk image, so the old copy cannot be opened by mistake.
- Open Roon from Applications and start Roon Server.
This replaces the application only. Your database, library, playlists and settings are untouched.
Please let us know once it is running.
