Roon Server stopped on a QNAP nas

Core Machine (Operating system/System info/Roon build number)

Roon core is installed on a QNAP NAS (TVS-471).

  • SSD 2TB
  • 2 HD 6TB (RAID1) (RoonServerDatabase)
  • 1 HD 6TB

Network Details (Including networking gear model/manufacturer and if on WiFi/Ethernet)

Router: Cisco Linksys EA6500
1 switch: TPLINK TL-SG108 (ethernet connection to router)
3 Devolo CPL adaptators

Audio Devices (Specify what device you’re using and its connection type - USB/HDMI/etc.)

4 Raspberry Pi connected to the router through the 3 Devolo CPL adaptators and the switch.

Description Of Issue

After having restarted the QNAP from scratch (in order to change the RAID configuration) and reinstalling the RoonServer application, the Roon Server status on the NAS remains “Stopped” and my desktop computer (Windows 10) cannot find the Roon Core (which I suppose is normal as long as the Roon Server is stopped).

In the RoonServerDatabase folder, there is a “ROONSERVER_QNAP_LOG.txt” file that contains the following:

Glad to hear that updating the package resolved the issue @Thierry_M!

Hi, instead of downloading the Qnap application update, simply click on the button for “Update to the latest version of Roon Site”. I had the same stop issue and clicked the button. Updates were done and the server started.
