Roon Server Stopped TS-669L QNAP

I installed Roon server on my TS-669L QNAP server, but the service is stopped:

Here is the log file:

I understand I might need an Intel NUC or a newer QNAP for this. I got a new NAD C700 and I want to get a glimpse of Roon before I decide for an annual license and the additional investment in Hardware.

Thanks

you must upgrade RoonServer QPKG to version 2021-10-03 (RoonServer QPKG Changelog), which is not available for QTS 4.3.4 in QNAP’s AppCenter

you can grab & install the newer QPKG version manually from QNAP’s APPCenter (RoonServer QPKG for QTS 4.5.3) and hope that it will work with your older QTS 4.3.4

Thank you yo3fxy!
After the upgrade, the server started just fine. So far no performance issues. I am however only running one audio device at a time. Roon is indexing the media library on QNAP.

The Web display is not working (it just shows “ROON”, but no playback information). I might have to review my setup. I probably have just not found the right setting yet.

Apple TV seems to ignore the connection attempts. It shows a four-digit code that I then type into the ROON app, but whenever I want to playback something over the Apple TV, the TV just shows another 4-digit code and nothing happens. I do however have the same problem when trying to display something from home assistant (Smart Home server).

Thanks again for your help. I now have 14 days to understand all of this.

Cheers

/Klaus
