Your local network might need some re-arranging to support Roon.

Describe the issue
I'm on MacOS Sequoia 15.1. The problem is that the Roon Server stops working, which means that pressing the music play button does nothing, but it had worked for the previous album. It just stops for no reason. I have to open the Mac 'Activity Monitor' app, force quit the RoonServer process, reopen the Roon app which restarts the RoonServer, then I can play music again. It has been doing this since MacOS15. I'm glad I've now figured out how to make it work without restarting my whole machine each time, but can you please fix?
Describe your network setup
This isn't the problem. It's the RoonServer stopping working.
Thanks Mike. I had a look for other similar posts but could not find any that had the same problem. Is there a way to log this as a bug with the Roon technical team, or do they only have a community forum? ie. how does actual bug logging get done for Roon?
Thanks for taking the time to write in and share your report! Welcome to the community as well - @Mike_LC is correct in that we’re aware of some known issues tied to the recent Sequoia update.
However, I’m not 100% convinced your issues fall within the known issues we’re tracking, nor that it’s a bug within Roon. I’d like to test out a few troubleshooting steps to see we can’t get your Roon Server running smoothly again.
First, make a fresh backup of your current Roon database. Then, setup a direct hardwired ethernet connection from your Mac directly to your primary router.
After that, please clear your .tmp folder of any Roon-related files you see.
Close RoonServer.
Open Finder and click Go → Go and navigate to /.tmp. Delete any Roon-related files you see.
Let me know if your issues persist after testing out the above. If they do, see if refreshing your Roon database settings may help- steps to follow may be found below:
