Roon Server taking very long time to synch new music

I recently acquired a sonictransporter with about 5TB of music on an internal SSD. I installed Roon and all was good. Then I copied another 2TB+ of music to the sonictransporter drive. This happened in two steps: I attached a USB drive to the ST, mounted it, and copied the 2TB over my network to a partition on that drive. Then I copied from there to the SSD’s main Music folder.

When I did the initial copy, most of the new music showed up quickly. After the copy, 10 days later I am still seeing the little circle moving in the upper right corner of the Roon app and some of the music I copied still doesn’t show up in Roon. It’s on the SSD: I can mount the drive in Windows and see all the proper files. I don’t think it’s a lot of files.

What can I do to bring this process to a conclusion? Should I restart everything?

This helps our team gather all the necessary information to solve your issue as quickly as possible. Thank you!

Hi @Mark_Schlack,
Welcome to the Roon community. Thanks for reaching out to us about this issue. Please check your Roon server’s skipped files under Roon settings → Library.

If you find the files there there will be a reason that the file was skipped. Let us know what reason is given and we will be able to troubleshoot from there.
