Roon server unable to detect Lacie external drive after MS update (ref#5S13PB)

I asked because, to my mind, we have confirmed that the issue is that the Roon Server on the Trigon Exceed is not running and that has nothing to do with the Roon software installed on your PC.

As I said earlier, you should take this up with Trigon support. Doing a search on this forum has turned up the following:

And it turns out that Roon Labs viewed the Trigon Exceed as an unlicensed and unsupported device by at the time of that post. I don’t know whether things have changed in that respect, perhaps @support can clarify the current position for us.

Thanks for all the updates so far - I’m sorry to hear you’re still running into issues getting things sorted on your Exceed server.

After catching up on the thread, I believe @Geoff_Coupe was steering you in the right direction with the below step:

We haven’t seen the Exceed online and communicating with our servers in the last 7 days - I believe the next steps in troubleshooting should be around making sure the machine is powered on and properly connected to the network. Perhaps reviewing the webUI of the machine if at all possible.

We unfortunately aren’t able to dig to deep in regards to the level of support we’re able to supply with the Exceed, as the device doesn’t fall within our scope of support. Getting in touch with Trigon directly may be a good next step if the above doesn’t help. You can reach them here:

Please excuse any errors that appear in what I write. I’m severely disabled. Everything I type is done by a modified chop stick that I move from my mouth. I also have a degree of brain damage following a stroke and short term memory is often hopeless.

The Roon player forms the only useful entertainment I have. Following on from the advisory/process of elimination in these threads, I get the assertion that ‘that explains everything’. Without further elucidation, it’s as vague as I seemingly am.

I’ve been in touch with Trigon since last Monday. I’m iniating a new Roon trial, and installing on another PC. If that fails, then the Exceed will be sent to Trigon. The UK dealer who supplies these things, has been useless.
