Roon server update error on Nucleus+ (Rev.B) (ref#0W3JYM)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· The latest Roon server software update (2.65 build 1653) won't download to my Nucleus+ (Rev.B): I keep getting a message saying 'There was an error checking for an update'

Tell us about your home network

· Giffgaff (via Virgin Media) fibre optic broadband, connected to a Draytek Vigor 2866 router, then to a Ubiquiti Unifi 16 port switch, and from there to the Roon Nucleus+ (all on the same LAN as three Linn streamers and a Naim Mu-so). No VPN.

Try going to the web admin interface of the Nucleus and click the Reinstall button there. This will bring everything up to date (and it won’t touch your database, so it’s safe)

Thanks, @Suedkiez. I had actually tried that, but I just got another Error message:

Seems to suggest there is some kind of connection issue, but everything works fine in terms of accessing and playing music via Roon - so the Nucleus+ is clearly connected to the network. It’s all very odd.

Suspect DNS issues - see:

At least it gives you an exitcode which is a bit more info

This exitcode 10 is usually network related. E.g., restarting router and other basic network health things helped in some past cases:

Thanks very much for this. Yes, turns out the Nucleus+ had a static IP set, so I changed that to DHCP, rebooted, and hey presto - everything then updated as it should. Appreciate your insight!
