Hi @Gordon_Lau,

DNS resolution errors are a common causes for update failures. RoonServer needs to reliably resolve the download server URL; if it fails too many times in a row, the automatic update will fail.

Please ensure you have a reliable DNS server assigned in your router settings administration page. We recommend Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) or Google (8.8.8.8).

If this doesn’t help, can you please share a screenshot of your RoonOS Web Admin page?

You can also force the server to the latest available version by creating a Backup, deleting RoonServer, and then installing it again. You’ll obviously need to then restore the Backup.

  • Stop RoonServer from running in ROCK’s WebUI
  • Navigate to your ROCK’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “RoonServer”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old”
  • Restart the RoonServer in the WebUI to generate a new Roon database folder
  • On the Roon Remotes, press “Use another Roon Server” and connect to the new database. Then restore your Backup.

Let us know if this helps.
