Description of Issue

Roon server won’t start. Have disabled fire wall. Has been running fine.

Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Michael, if you actually fill out the Support template with the actual information, someone might be able to see enough to say something helpful.

Does the computer itself start? You say it’s a Mac; have you taken it to an Apple Store to see if something is wrong with the machine?

Hi, @Michael_Windsor. Could you, please, clarify if you see any errors appearing when you try to start Roon Server? Do you get the RoonServer icon at the system bar?

Thanks!

Ivan

At the very least, @Michael_Windsor, please provide the version of macOS which you are using, and the version of Roon which is not starting. What are you seeing?

Hi

OS is Monterey ver 12.7.1

Mac starts just fine. When I click on the Roon icon instead of loading like it has for the last 12 months it says
“Waiting for your Roon server”

There is a button saying start Roon server I click that. It tries to load it but comes back to the waiting for server screen.

I do not recall Roon version and can’t look as it won’t go past the waiting for server screen.

Any thoughts

Does that screen also have a “Select a different Roon Server” on it? If so, have you tried clicking it? Roon may have got confused over which Roon Server it was connected to…

Hi

Went to my iPhone which I use to control tracks ect on Roon. Now when I go back to my Mac it’s working. Very strange. Sorry to have troubled you

And (just to be sure) Roon can now still start when you reboot your desktop machine, can’t it?

Done a shut down and restart and all working fine Thankyou.
