Is Roon Server running?

· No, Roon Server is not running.

For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.

Do you see Roon Server running as a background task in the menu bar or in Activity Monitor?

MacOS local network restrictions are the most common cause of this symptom.

Please ensure you’ve retoggled Roon’s local network access in Privacy & Security → Local Network if you’re using MacOS Sequoia/Tahoe.

You’ll often need to repeat this step after Roon updates because they trigger these blackboxed MacOS security settings.
