Roon set up in my system

I stream music via Tidal & Bandcamp through my Musical Fidelity Hi Fi via an Aurilac Aries Mini which uses the DAC in the Musical Fidelity A1008 CD player.

The Aurilac Aries mini is controlled by an Apple iPad.

So far I have not downloaded any music - it is all played via the internet.

I have not yet started Roon because I cannot work out how to go about it. I have a laptop but it is a Lenovo Yoga C940.

I do not have an Apple Mac. I also stream Tidal & Bandcamp via my mobile ‘phone - a Samsung Galaxy note 10 plus. 5G but not to my hi fi.

Can Roon be used to run my system & if so how do I set it up?

Thank you.I bought an iPad to control my Aurilac streamer which will only work with Apple but understood that Roon could not be downloaded to a tablet. Since my laptop is not a Mac I anticipated problems. I will see what happens,

Your computer doesn’t have to be a Mac. Windows or Nuc or Nas could also run n the Roon core.
