I have noticed that the Roon smart playlists don't update without manually viewing them in the Roon app.
This is an issue as I use them to auto-download to roon ARC. I notice that they have zero songs in them until they are viewed which triggers Roon to update
Describe your network setup
I have a unifi gateway with a unifi wifi access point
We have just internally tested this on the latest production versions of our Apps. Results have shown that Smart Playlist is actually being normally updated in ARC despite the Roon App is not open at Smart Playlist’s page.
Could you please clarify your problem in more details ? Is your problem that playlist is not being updated or it is not being just automatically downloaded ?
Howdy, yea its is that the playlist doesn’t update based on the filter. The newly added songs don’t appear in the ‘newly added playlist’ you can see from my screen shots that the playlists are empty (0 songs).
This is not an issue with downloading the content. The list of songs itself is not current.
its only when viewing the playlist in the roon app (not arc) that they populate and then this change is seen across roon and arc.
I will repeat the process for a screen recording however it will show only what I have already documented above. The screenshots are in chronological order.
RoonServer diagnostics indicate that Smart Downloads/Playlists attempt to sync with ARC and encountered six items that were Banned in the active profile. These items were skipped in the download.
We also see timeouts related to Smart Playlists, so the assumption isn’t that Banned content is responsible for the discrepancies you’re seeing. We just want to clarify what we’re inspecting in logs.
Can you please provide the name of a Smart Playlist that recently demonstrated this failure? Please also share the name of a track within that playlist that failed to download automatically within ARC until you reopened the playlist in Roon.
