Roon software thinks I am already signed into a Nucleus. If I deauthorise one, the software then immediately closes and whenever opened shuts down again immediately until Nucleus is power cycled. At this point the software will open but believes I am signed into a different Nucleus and the whole cycle starts again.
Edit - I have deleted and reinstalled the software and this doesn’t seem to have an effect.
This could be because the Nucleus is running an earlier build of Roon Server than the Roon builds on your remotes. It has been reported that one particular older build of Roon Server conflicts with later builds of Roon.
Please use the Web Administration page (accessed via a web browser) to reinstall Roon OS on your Nucleus. That will also install the latest build of Roon Server. Then, if you get the Deauthorise page again, you should be able to click the button and get into Roon…
Yes, we have seen exactly this before. Like any other device, the Nucleuses are not continually updated in the factory but have some preinstalled version. Normally, once you start the Nucleus the remotes would immediately ask you to trigger an update.
Specific combinations of a current remote version together with the outdated preinstalled Nucleus version unfortunately make the remotes crash instead or sometimes cause other weird behaviors like the one you are seeing.
@Geoff_Coupe’s advice will most likely fix the issue like it has done many times in recent weeks for others. In any case, it’s necessary to check and rule it out.
Just wanted to give an update. Dropped back today & followed Geoff’s advice. Instantly fixed the issue. Up and running again within about a minute. Thank you so much for your help.
