You need to have at least macOS 10.15 (Catalina) or later:

If your Mac is too old to get at least macOS 10.15 officially from Apple, then it’s probably a Mac with an Intel CPU. In this case, it maybe be possible to unofficially update your specific hardware by using the OpenCore Legacy Patcher:

If you can’t update officially or unofficially, then you’d need a new Mac.

Hi @robert.rueffer,

Unfortunately, the hardware/software requirements for Roon are the bare minimum now that the legacy version of Roon is no longer supported. While it’s disheartening to learn you to need to update to a newer computer, please keep in mind that this is not the result of any planned obsolescence, but simply Roon’s compliance with current security requirements.
