Issue with Roon

Roon Server v. 2.58 (Build 1608)

After loading the latest update from Roon, I am having a consistent and frustrating issue.

I am using a MacBook Pro, macOS Tahoe 26.2 installed, using a Cary Audio DMS-700 streamer.

Now when I open Roon, it does not recognize the streamer, and the only way to fix this is to open Mac settings, go to Sound, and select the Cary, which has to be turned on. Then I go into Roon, press Settings, and select the Cary, but it comes up as ‘Undefined’. I have to click settings, scroll through the manufacturer list, find Cary, select DMS-700, and click ‘Save’.

Now the system functions. But these settings are not saved. I have to go through this process every time I want to stream music.

Also, computer speakers do not work without going back to Sound settings, and select the MacBook. Can only access one or the other. This behavior is also new.

Anyone else have this issue since latest Roon update?

macOS Sequoia Roon Server / Device Connectivity Issue, Roon Status & Workaround

The Issue macOS Sequoia (version 15), has tighter (and more obfuscated) network security settings than preceding macOS versions. This is causing problems during Roon updates; despite being previously enabled during the Roon installation MacOS, after an update MacOS is denying access to the network (yet retains displaying all is well). Your quick response is much appreciated. I will be patient waiting for a fix. A tedious workaround currently, but still the best music service option I have found.
