New to Roon
on v 1.6
Core is Sonictransport 1.6
streaming on Pro-ject streambox s2 ultra
mytek liberty dac
this is happening since I installed new dac…
Every song or between some songs.
It happens intermittently when I start a new song without first stopping the one playing.
Once it went into a mode where it automatically started skipping to track after track without playing anything. Each time if I unpower my DAC and core it goes back to working correctly. Is that a thing in Roon - that you have to pause between tracks?

So we can better assist you, please describe your network configuration/topology, including any networking hardware currently in use, so we can have a clear understanding of how your devices are communicating.
Does this behavior occur if you play to other endpoints or just the Pro-Ject?
Whenever you introduce a new device to your audio network it helps if you power cycle all of the devices from the router to your endpoint. I had to perform that yesterday afternoon. I thought I could get away with just Roon and my endpoint but I only resolved my issue by starting at the router.
