Roon streaming issues with KEF LS50 Wireless

Hi there,

My set-up is as follows;

The core is…
iMac 2013 (Late 2013)
2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
16BG 1600 MHz DDR3

Roon Version 1.6 (build 401) stable (64bit), using Tidal.

Modem ZTE ZXHN H268A http://exewiki.exetel.com.au/images/6/66/ZTE_ZXHN_H268A(V1.1)User_Manual_EXETEL_09_Feb_2017.pdf

KEF LS50 Wireless firmware V2.1.0 (Using 5Ghz network)

From the router to the iMac I have tried both ethernet and Wi Fi.

The problem I’m having is when I set Roon audio device to stream wirelessly to the KEFs I have random issues, from music stalling or not playing at all.
If I change my audio device from the KEFs to the systems output I have no issues, the solution I have is to run optical to the master speaker and I have no dropouts.
Also another problem which may be related is the KEFs drop of Roons network list.

I’m not really that technical any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
John

A bit more investigating, I see my OS is a notch under spec, even hardwired throughout I’m getting dropouts so…

I decided to completely change my core:
NUC7I7DNH4E NUC, 8GB ram and a Samsung 970 EVO Plus 250GB SSD.

Fingers crossed this will be an end fix and I can get back yo listening to music.

Hi, did that sort your issue? I just updated my wifi firmware and had a short spell of dropouts but seems ok now, strange.
