· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

yesterday i attempted to copy (using drag and drop) a new album created by one of my friends. The album is not yet released so Roon will not find it in any database. The roon app simply circles. clicking on the circle reveals "of 47 tracks, 47 added, 0 identified". I only uploaded 9 tracks - but either way it appears to be stuck in an endless loop for more than 24 hours now.

Hey @Michael_Fricklas, welcome to the community.

To confirm, if on the home page you click ‘recently added’ you do not see the new content?

If you navigate to your Roon Settings > show hidden tracks and albums > enable this setting, does that help?

If neither help, please share the name of the missing albums/tracks and we’ll take a closer look.

Thank you!

i do not see the new content. I changed that setting and it doesn’t help. two days in, the circle is still rotating!

Perhaps there is a way to stop the activity, and for me to add metadata and try again?

Hi @Michael_Fricklas,

Sorry to hear you’re still having issues. If you haven’t yet, I’d safely stop Roon Server from running via the webUI, then reboot your Nucleus.

Here’s more info on the webUI:

You can also navigate directly to your device by entering one of the following in a web browser:

  1. The IP address of the Nucleus: for example,
    http://10.0.101.20/
  2. The .local suffix:
    http://nucleus.local

  3. The hostname:
    http://nucleus

If you’re able to share a bit more detail around the tracks you’ve recently imported, that would allow us to review and trace a fresh Roon Server diagnostic report surrounding the issue tracks.

Thank you!

The tracks are named 01 One More, 02 Chardonnay, 03 Tobacco and Peat; 04 Rose Days; 05 Lay it Down; 06 Constant Craving; 07 Phoenix; 08 Last Call; 09 Pop; 10 Blue Champagne. The files are encoded 96_24. The files are large (about 120 MB each)

I did restart the server. While it initially started, i couldn’t access it. I went back to the web interface and now the server won’t restart.

Hey @Michael_Fricklas,

Thanks for the follow-up! Our team just released another fresh update that contains a fix for your above issue.

Please download and install the latest version of Roon and you should be able to access your Roon Server again:

It fixed the mistaken message that the server wasn’t working. How do i find the files?

Hey @Michael_Fricklas,

Thanks for the update. Are you able to share a few examples of the missing content specifically? From there, we’ll enable another diagnostic report from your Roon Server to take a closer look at these files for additional information.

Thank you!

Thanks. I have no idea what you are looking for. In the earlier response I provided the file names, their sizes and file types

Hey @Michael_Fricklas

Thanks for performing that test, we have added this info to the investigation ticket. The ticket has been submitted for developer review, meaning that this may take some time to be reviewed.

There aren’t any additional details needed at this time, so we will go ahead and close the thread for the time being, and if any other questions arise after the developers have reviewed the case, we will re-open the thread and reach out once more.

Thanks again for your report, and thank you in advance for your patience as the ticket progresses through the development queue for review.
