Roon stuck on moving logo after password change on Mac Mini (ref#PG0TSW)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Roon is slow, freezing or won’t start

Roon is slow, freezing or won’t start

· Roon won’t start up at all

Tell us what's going on

· When I try to use Roon, all I see is the moving logo; nothing seems to happen from there - even after a minute. I recently changed my password to my Roon account & had trouble logging into my Roon account. This is now fixed & I am logged in but the problem still persists. I am currently trying to access from my Mac mini through my Nucleus + via a wired network with my library on my NAS. All worked fine yesterday. Help!

Hi @John_A_Birch,

Thank you for your patience as we worked through our queue to reach this report.

First, for due diligence, retoggle Roon’s local network permissions in your Mac System Settings under Privacy & Security → Local Network. If it’s already toggled on, try toggling it off/back on.

In your Orbi mesh network settings, double-check that “disable IGMP proxying” is unchecked in the Advanced tab.

Let us know if this helps and we’ll follow up promptly with a next step.

Hi @John_A_Birch,

Our diagnostic servers still don’t show any activity on at least one of your Roon Remotes, though the server has been online since you first posted.

After updating your Roon credentials, you’ll need to close Roon and sign back in on any of your Roon Remotes.

Please take this step on your Mac Mini. I recommend logging into your Roon account page in a browser to double-check there’s not a stale session associated with that computer (scroll down to the bottom of the page).

All good now. switching off everything & turning it all back on again did the trick. Thanks for your help.
