Describe the issue

Since my sunscription renewed, my roon does not open. It just sits on the screen saying it is looking for a roon server and never gets past that. I looked at my task manager and it shows roon server. I still have windows 10 pro on this PC.

Describe your network setup

Actually, your Task Manager screenshot is only showing Roon and RAATServer running - your Roon Server is not shown. It should be listed in the Background processes section if it is running.

Where did you have your Roon Server - on a Nucleus or ROCK/NUC, or were you using the Roon Server installed on this PC?

1: I attached another screen shot showing the Server at the bottom of the task manager
2: Yes, I am running the server on this computer

Thanks

I would check your Firewall settings on your PC. It may be that a recent Windows Update has changed them.

Hello @srini.mtn ,

Since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both Roon.exe and RAATServer.exe have been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.

You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.

I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.
