started Roon, turned away for a second, when I turned back my computer had restarted which was not done by me, roon tried to get me to sign back in, which was redirected so I tried again. I'm signed in but when I start Roon I can't get pass the initial start up symbol on the black screen
Before anything else, it looks like you may be running multiple local subnets within your local network based on your Roon devices. Roon won’t function across multiple subnets, so you’ll need to test out disabling all but one subnet within your router settings - this will force all devices onto the same IP scheme.
Let me know if you’re able to connect properly after giving that a try. If you still have issues, I’d next review your Windows 10 / Mac firewall settings - here’s more info on this:
An easy way to test this would be to temporarily disable your firewall and see if you’re able to connect properly.
Ok, well I finally got it working, I believe it was interrupted doing an update, did find some issues regarding the adapter settings with the network, got that straighten out, then I just finally un-installed Roon and reinstalled it, the sign in and redirecting after installation was frustrating, finally got through and it wanted to update so it seems to be working just fine now.
Thanks for letting us know you were able to get the issue resolved! Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing from here onward, but if you face any additional difficulties, don’t hesitate to let us know!
