· Roon for Apple and Melco is far from intuitive. I have spent multiple hours trying to synch with sheer frustration. Finally resynched the Melco Audio device, and now the iPad app is not synching. You should be paying me for eating my time.

· iPad remote will not synch with Mac (ROON) server Melco endpoint. I have followed all of the basic instructions to no avail. I have spent too much time on this with no resolution. I expected a seamless conversion and nothing synchs, and if and when it does it does not synch the next time. Please advise, otherwise, this is useless for me.

Hello @rjzman7,

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the frustration this has caused — I understand how disruptive this can be.

Can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, and make sure Roon and Roon Server are allowed.

If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

If the issue persists after this step, please let us know and we’ll continue with further diagnostics.

Hi @rjzman7,

We’re reaching out since we haven’t seen a response to this thread in a few days. Diagnostics indicate that you have a second active network interface on your RoonServer machine (like a VPN). Please ensure that iPad is connected to whichever network interface is actually in use by RoonServer.

In your iPad iOS settings, navigate to the WiFi → WiFi Details page for your home network. Find the Private WiFi Address setting and set it to “Fixed.” This will prevent the iPad from randomizing a MAC address every time it reconnects to the home WiFi, which might be blocking device discovery.

Please also double-check that you’ve toggled local network access for Roon in MacOS settings per @vadim’s suggestion.

We’ll watch for your reply. Thank you!
