· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

My Roon Titan was unresponsive this morning after I'd been away for a few days and not using it. I rebooted it on the web interface along with most of the stereo hardware and it's been working today but I'm seeing in the web interface under "Roon Server Software" it says "Not Running" and shows the Start button. Likely it *is* running because I'm playing music. When I click on start I chugs a little and then says it can do it/should reboot etc. I did fully power cycle it and now it's right back where it was. Apparently working but it says it's not on the web interface. I'm going to backup the database now just in case something worse is in the making. I'd like some help/understanding and a fix. Thanks.

Hi @Michael_Metts,

We have a fix for this exact issue in our latest Hotfix build, and the diagnostics show that your Nucleus was recently updated.

Since playback is working, this appears to be the web interface showing Not Running incorrectly rather than the server actually being down.

Can you please confirm whether it looks fixed on your end as well? If so, we can treat this as resolved, thank you.

Hi Noris,

I’m not really sure how to apply a hot fix build to my Nucleus Titan and even on the page you provided it’s not terribly obvious. It doesn’t sound like it’s necessary. This fix will enter your normal patch builds relatively soon, right? Please advise. Thanks.

Mike

Hi Noris,

Oh, I see. You think it should be fixed now. Well, It’s not. See attached.

Thanks, Mike

Hello @Michael_Metts

Thank you for the update. We are forwarding your feedback to the R&D team. Please stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, please clear your browser cache and do a hard reload. In Chrome:

  1. Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete on Windows, or Cmd + Shift + Delete on a Mac. You can also paste chrome://settings/clearBrowserData into the address bar.
  2. Set the time range to All time.
  3. Tick Cached images and files. You can leave the other boxes unticked, so your passwords and history stay untouched.
  4. Click Clear data.
  5. Go back to the page and do a hard reload with Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows, or Cmd + Shift + R on a Mac.

Hi Vadim,

I did just Cmd + Shift + R without any of the other steps (a light tough is sometimes best) and that seems to have done the trick. Please see attached. Thanks.

Mike
