Roon titan specifications

i’m thinking of replacing my current music server with a roon titan with 8tb ssd storage. i have a few questions:

  1. i see that the titan can be ordered from the roon store, but i don’t see where one can specify the storage option (or get a price for that).

  2. how many outputs does the titan have? USB? S/PDIF?

  3. witih my current server i can drag and drop music files from my mac. no intermediate web-based software is required. the server just shows up in the finder like any other external device. is this possible with the titan?

  4. my music library contains about 12,000 albums. what are the actual limits (if any) beyond physical storage limits? do the number of files matter if they fit within the (in my case) 86tb limit?

thanks in advance

Hello @Stevan_Apter ,

Thanks for reaching out!

You can add any size internal storage drive that you wish, but Titan does not come pre-installed with any. To view the install procedure, please see below:

The Titan has 2x HDMI outputs (multichannel supported), 2x USB outputs (1x USB 3.2 and 1x USB 2.0), and 2x USB-C ports (thunderbolt compatible). There are no SPDIF ports.

Yes, drag-and-drop is possible, as long as the Titan has had a hard drive added to it. The internal M.2 SSD that the Titan ships with is only for the Operating System.

A heavier database (more albums/tracks or metadata edits) require more RAM. There is no hard limit as to how many tracks/albums this can be, but the RAM on the Titan is upgradabl. Should you reach this limit, you can certainly contact our hardware/RMA team to discuss RAM upgrade options.

Hope this helps!
