Roon transport error

I have been running Roon Core on Lenovo i5 3.2GHz computer under Windows 7 46bit successfully for past year.

I now receive following error when I try to plan music to dCS Rossini Dac:

“Transport: Failed to select Roon as current Transport”

This seem to have started “after” the most recent Roon SW update.

Please advise.

I have a PS Audio Direct Stream DAC, and I also get that message on occasion. Restarting my DAC fixes it. It is like it gets “stuck” on a previous input.

Thanks for contacting support regarding this issue, I’d be happy to assist. I have a few suggestions:

• Can you please try rebooting your dCS DAC as the first troubleshooting step here?
• Is the dCS DAC on the correct input and powered on when trying to output audio content to it?
• How is the DAC connected to Roon, are you using USB or Ethernet?
• Is the dCS DAC on the latest firmware?

Please let me know when possible and we can continue from there.

The hard reboot of dCS Dac fixed the problem. Now able play over network.
