Description of Issue

Setup works on my PC, but my iPad Roon cannot find Roon core on my new NUC.

I am getting the same error as with my old dedicated music PC -

Roon cannot find WGL functions required to initialize OpenGL.

I have updated all drivers, and the setup is completely new.

Hi @Eirik_Jensen,

Thank you for reporting your issue.

In looking at Roon’s account servers, I’m not certain which instance of a device might be your NUC. What operating system is it? Also, do you mind sharing the internal IP address so I can match things up?

Thanks,
Wes

This is a moving target. I have resolved the issue by installing driver updates. I was then able to install and work the roon program on my NUC. However, my IPAD could not connect with it. I then installed roonserver - that worked. But why won’t the IPAD connect to the complete Roon program? Thanks for your insights!

I can only speculate, but maybe the Windows firewall exception was missing for roon.exe but was ok for roonserver.exe

This or other potential network considerations seem like the best possible explanation.
