Describe the issue

Roon suddenly won't connect to my end points

Describe your network setup

Asus XT8

Sorry I didn’t give you enough info in the initial post. Roon couldn’t find my Roon-Ready end points. There wasn’t a restart or update when this happened. Though I did an Roon update a couple of days ago.

I’ve tried to restart my Server (MacMini M1 8 GB RAM running Sequoia 15.2. I’m running Roon 2.0 (build 1496). My end points are both hard-wired as is the Server. My end points are Holo Red and 2Go2Yu.

My router can see all devices. What additional info can I provide?

thanks
rob

There is an issue with Mac Sequoia and it’s new “security”. See…

For now, please try:

  • Retoggling Roon permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network when networked Zones disappear
  • Restarting RoonServer to rebroadcast device discovery

Hey @Rob_Welles,

Thanks for the report! @Rugby is likely correct with their above comment - can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.

Thank you!
