Describe the issue

Hi, I have moved my set up to another house and I cannot now get Roon to connect to my music folder on my DS418 Synology NAS. Qobuz streams fine on Roon, and the NAS shows up on the network no problem. I've tried various file names but no luck. Set up is- DS418 & router connected to Mercusys Halo mesh, my audio equipment is in the loft so have a Halo up there to which I've connected my NUC to run ROCK. Player is a Lumin D2.

Describe your network setup

Router- Plusnet Hub 2, NAS Synology DS418, both connect to Mercusys Halo H50G. Another Halo in the loft, to which my NUC and the Lumin are wired to.

Hi @Alasdair_Tait,

Thank you for your post. Diagnostics from RoonServer indicate that the CIFS mount fails due to a network address nomenclature issue.

error adding share: System.Exception: [cifs/mountconfig] invalid cifs path (post windowsization, missing third backslash)

Please verify the formatting of the UNC path you’ve configured.

There are additional permissions errors - I’d double-check the credentials entered for this drive, as well.

Can you please share a screenshot of the Settings → Storage page in Roon where you’re attempting to add this network share?

We’ll watch for a response. Thank you!
