Since you are using a network connection to the device, please ensure that your RoonServer is on the same subnet as the device

Try to disable any additional networking interfaces on your RoonServer machine.
· Disabling network interfaces had no change in behavior

Describe the issue
I am running Roon on a M1 MacMini trying to connect to a Sonore Signature (the older model that is really like a sound card, no OS and has a spdif connection). The MacMini is connected via ethernet to a switch, the same switch that the Sonore is connected to. The Sonore is connected to the dac (Schiit Yggy) via coax cable. I use Audirvana and am able to use the Sonore as a ethernet connected streamer. So far, I am only able to use Roon when I directly connect the Mac to the dac.
Describe your network setup
Verizon Router (CR1000A) to CISCO Meraki Access point/switch to both the M1 MacMini and the Sonore Signature Rendu.
Since you’re running macOS, the behavior you’re seeing is consistent with the newer, stricter Local Network permission controls in the recent macOS releases.
Please try the following steps:
Open macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network
Make sure Roon and Roon Server are both enabled
Even if they are already enabled, please toggle them off and back on
Fully quit Roon Server from the macOS menu bar / task bar
Reboot your Mac
After reboot, launch Roon again and check if the devices is avaliable again.
Once these permissions are refreshed and the system restarted, your audio devices should reappear.
Please let us know if the issue persists after these steps, and we’ll continue from there.
Following up on Rugby’s question above, since it’s an important one: could you please confirm the exact model of your Sonore unit, specifically whether it’s the Signature Rendu SE or the older Legacy Signature Rendu (no SE)?
This matters because only the SE version is Roon Ready certified. The Legacy Signature Rendu doesn’t have RoonReady firmware built in, it needs to run Sonicorbiter (or another Linux-based OS) with Roon Bridge installed to appear as a Roon endpoint. If that’s not set up on it, Roon won’t ever discover it directly over the network the way a native Roon Ready device would, which would explain why it shows up fine in Audirvana (using a different connection method) but never appears in Roon Settings > Audio.
Could you please let us know which model you have, and if it’s the Legacy version, then this is expected

Were you able to confirm whether your Sonore unit is the Signature Rendu SE or the older Legacy Signature Rendu, and if it is the Legacy model, whether Sonicorbiter or another Linux-based OS with Roon Bridge is installed? That distinction will tell us whether Roon should discover it directly as a Roon Ready endpoint, or whether the behavior you’re seeing in Roon Settings > Audio is expected. You are correct. I have the legacy Signature Rendu, not the SE. So, it is not Roon Ready. Someone lent me the Sonore, so it is not a big deal. I use a Raspberry Pi based streamer, which is recognized by Roon. Thank for your help.
