Roon unable to connect to WBGO.org radio station (ref#MCV60G)

Just this week, Roon will no longer connect to WBGO.org in Newark NJ. I listen regularly and wondering if anyone on your support staff knows why.

Describe your network setup

Roon>Mac mini M1>Linn Akurate DSM/3 all connect to network via ethernet. All other music seems to be accessible.

Thanks for reaching out to us to ask about this issue. I think the next step here is to enable some diagnostics on your account so our technical staff can get some more insight into what’s going on here.

However, before I enable this feature, I’d like to ask for your help ensuring we gather the right information.

First, can you please reproduce the issue once more and note the time at which the error occurs. Then respond here with that time, and I’ll make sure we review the diagnostics related to that timestamp.

It takes about 3 seconds to get that message.

Also, WBGO does not function on TuneIn radio directly through my Linn Streamer.
I have also contacted WBGO directly, as I am a forever member, and they replied that they would be addressing the TuneIn issue (which might be related to the Roon feed?)

Hi @Kevin_O_Connell,
I managed to reproduce this problem myself and check into the cause. The response we are getting from the WBGO servers was 502 or Bad Gateway. This indicates a problem on their end.

A workaround that I tested out just now is to add a custom radio station to Roon. You can use the below steps to do that.

1. Go to “My Live Radio” in Roon.
   
   
2. Click the add station button.
   
   
3. Click “Add Station URL”.
   
   
4. Choose one of the URLs that WBGO provides here. How to Listen Online | WBGO Jazz and add it as a station.
