Roon lost all my meridian endpoints (861, 808, 218 all Ethernet ) and all Sonos endpoints about 3 months ago. Was intermittent for quite some time but could always bring it back on line via resetting/rebotting router; endpoints; core. That no longer works. Connections are fine as Meridian app finds all endpoints and controls them… Sonos app finds all endpoints and controls them. Thanks!
Describe your network setup
Fios G3100 router. Ethernet connections to: meridian 861, 808, and 218. Ethernet connection to Sonos Playbar. Wireless connection to Play1, Play1, Play5, and 2 subs.
If your RoonServer is running MacOS 15.0 - 15.2, you will need to navigate to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network and ensure Roon has local network access permissions. The operating system on these particular MacOS builds restricts LAN access for Roon unless this setting is toggled.
Upgrading to MacOS 15.3 should resolve the issue, as that release doesn’t automatically restrict Roon (Apple more tightly calibrated their security features).
Another possibility is that router does not have multicast forwarding enabled. In your FIOS G3100 settings, make sure IGMP snooping is enabled along with any multicast settings. Also verify if UPnP is enabled, since these protocols will rely on that service for network discovery.
Do you have any mesh nodes or access points serving this router?
