· I am using Roon on a MacOS laptop - the Roon is up to date, but the laptop I use in my audio room is a few years past its prime, but it has run Roon just fine. I recently purchased a used CD. Normally I just rip the CD into Apple Music on my office Mac, then copy the files to my NAS drive to run from Roon. The CD didn't show up in my Roon library (I have close to 1 TB on the NAS). One thing about the CD is that it was a pain to import it. Apple Music gave me errors as did another app I sometimes use to convert files. So I brought the files into an audio editor (Amadeus Pro), then exported the files to Apple Lossless, which then imported fine into Apple Music and they play with no problem on the Mac. But Roon doesn't like something about the files. I tried removing the NAS drive from Roon, cleaning the library, then re-importing theNAS library from scratch. Same problem. I even tried "fooling" Roon by importing another set of new files at the same time as the CD. Roon did fine with the other files, but not the ones from the CD. I am suspicious that it might have something to do with the CD - could there possibly be some kind of copy protection involved? The CD is indeed rare - not on any streaming services, but Apple Music did find its metadata. Maybe I'll try to rip directly from the CD into Roon, which I've never done, but is this something you've seen before?
