Hello @Willem_Immelman ,

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like you mentioned that all zones are impacted, meaning that System Output is affected as well? Have you tried to reboot the Roon Server / DAC and the behavior is still the same after a reboot? Can you please let us know the exact local time + date + track when you next observe this issue occur? We’ll enable diagnostics for your Roon account to see if logs contain further clues.

Hi @Willem_Immelman,

Diagnostics indicate that you might have logged into Roon since you last posted here, but we’ll need some of the information that @noris requested to take further action on this case.

What is the specific error message (if any) that you see within Roon when playback fails?

Does it matter what the source format of the files are that you attempt to play (FLAC, ALAC, mp3, etc.)?

Do you have any DSP applied in MUSE?

Lastly, what is the connection you’re using to the Devialet? Is this device hardwired via ethernet, or are you using another digital input?

We’ll watch for your response. If you no longer require assistance, this thread will eventually auto-close due to inactivity.

Good morning Connor,

I get two messages when I select something to play on Roon, setup to play from Tidal. I mostly use Tidal with Roon but also have a few hi-res files and hardly ever use them. These errors only refer to Tidal.

  1. Devialet is booting up this may take a while

  2. Device in use

I don’t have DSP applied in Muse

Devialet has a “hard wire” ethernet connection straight into my LAN which is going through a router connected to high speed Fibre network

My Roon server is a Mac Mini connected to the network also via ethernet cable, so, no wifi used anywhere.

I have since my last message re-booted the server a few times and also now get this message when re-booting. This also never happened before.

Hey @Willem_Immelman,

Thanks for the additional information and the screenshot! Could you please bring your Roon Server back online - we’ve enable diagnostics and should be able to take a closer look into what might be going on.

I’d also like to see if refreshing your RAATServer as well as your instance of Roon (not Roon Server) on the mac may help. Steps to follow below:

  • Create a Backup of your current Roon database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon’s Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon” and “RAATServer”
  • Rename “Roon” to “Roon_old” and “RAATServer” to “RAATServer_old”
  • Reinstall Roon from our Downloads Page

Let me know if you run into the same issues afterward. Thank you! :+1:
