Welcome to the forum. According to our diagnostics, it looks like you are using a macOS based Roon Server. If you are unable to update the macOS server to a new operating system, please see the instructions listed in our release notes:

Specifically:

For Mac users who are not yet able to update to macOS 12 or later, we’re also making a pre-update installer available as a temporary option. This version will not receive future updates or security fixes, and may become incompatible with current Roon Remote or ARC versions over time. You can find the installer here.

If you have an Intel Mac, another option is to update it with the OCLP app. This works with nearly all Intel Macs at least to update to macOS 12, which is all you need.

Thanks, yes, I’m using a 2012 mac mini. I’d planned on moving to either OpenCore or Linux Mint…just hadn’t got there yet.

By “pre-update”, do you mean I’d need to run this installer before having run the update that just dead-ended me? If so, that doesn’t help does it. I’ve worked in software for many years…how could y’all build an installer that’ll install on systems that don’t support it. Pretty much Installer 101. I’m a longtime user, but this doesn’t inspire confidence at all.

Sorry for any confusion here! You should be able to download and run the installer @noris shared above, which should still function normally for you, even if you’ve taken the auto-update that left you stranded.

Let me know if you face any issues installing this temporary Roon version.
