Description of Issue

Just updated the Roon software on my iMac, now Roon says:

“There was an issue loading your database”

I seem to spend more time under the bonnet of Roon trying to get it to work than using it to actually listening to music.

Just restarted Roon and the issue seems to be permanent…

Your database is corrupted.

Do you have Backups?

I have a back-up on the iMac

Hello. Anyone there?

You’ll need to Restore your database. See this KB article.

I’m not officially Roon @support, but I’ve seen the problem reported many times.

Hello @Jo_David,

We’re very sorry to hear that your Core might have a corrupted database  . There is a solution though; the steps are listed here, just as @xxx has shared before (thanks @xxx ):

Please, let me know how it goes.

Well after a fair amount of hair-tearing and stuff. I eventually stopped going round in the log-in loop which kept saying I was already logged in to the Nucleus +. Instead, as a desperate measure, I clicked the option to deauthorize the Nucleus+, and it then just logged me in without any further ado. Clearly deauthorize does not mean what I think. Very unclear what the problem was or whether it has been fixed.

It’s unclear what problem you were reporting.

You said you had an issue with the database.
An unauthorize/reauthorize exercise won’t, or shouldn’t, fix that.

Did you do a Restore? If not, you probably still have problems.

Hi @Jo_David, after choosing Unauthorize, have things continued to work for you?
